CITY OF Campbell, Antol Lutgens, Jojade, Hazel, and Spande answered roll call when
Chairman Campbell called .meeting to order--Asmus cthin a few minutes.
Also present this evening were P. McGarvey, R. Knutson, Licht, M. Curry, and D. Goode
77.42 The minutes of the April 7th. meeting were approved upon motion by Antolik, see
by Spande. Voting.-"aye" were Campbell, Antolik, Lutgens, Jojade, Hazel, and
• Motion carried. ~ -
R. Knutson stated he had reviewed the legal notices of the public hearing for
Howard E. Anderson, and this would be a legal hearing. -
Mr. Anderson said the new construction, if recommended and approved, would ex:
on Ipava Av. The one in existence now exits on 17bth Street._ The proposal is for a
detatched, 3-car 'garage. The planner, Dave Licht, gave his opinion:.."because of the wic
driveway, it would not require a "Iip"--but, zecommends no storage of any, kind," other t
the cars..
77.43 Motion was made by Jojade and seconded by Antolik to close the Anderson public
hearing. Voting."aye" were Antolik, Lutgens, Jojade, Hazel, Spande, and Camp
Motion carried.
77.44 Jojade made the motion,_seconded by Lutgens, "to recommend Council approve the
application of Howard E. Anderson for a conditional use permit to construct a
24' x 36' garage on Lot 1, Block 1, Dakota Heights 7th Addition~as recommender
by the Planner in his memo dated April 6th-with the exception of the second
recommendation, which is to be deleted, as per the Planner's verbal amendment
.this evening". Voting "aye" were Lutgens, Jojade, Hazel, Spande, Asmus, and
Campbell and Antolik. Motion carried.
Item ~5 of the agenda, which was the reviewal and approval of the final plat ~
Cedar Highlands 1st and 2nd Additions, was the next order of business, upon choice of t7
..Chairman. Mr. McGarvey explained that the :approval or .disapproval of the final plat h,
* .been delayed because of the question of sewer pipe being able to be put in. The develop
agreement has not,been prepared because there are a few changes that will be made in the
warding..`Cedar Highlands is still proposed to be developed in phases, with the-first s~
of the development taking place in the northern area, next to Valley"Park. Park dedica~
remains the same as was `discussed in the preliminary-cash donations through he 4th phi
of development, then Land.
77.45 Motion by Hazel, seconded by Jojade, that approval of the final plat of Cedar
Highlands 1st and 2nd Additions., be granted, subject to the developer's agrea~
'and bond and hard shell being submitted to the .Planning Commission. 'Voting
were Jojade, Hazel, Spande, Asmus, Campbell, Antolik, and Lutgens. Motion ca'.
The public hearing on the ordinance amending the Planned IInit Development Ord
commenced, The Planner said that this ordinance would add to the clarification of the
ordinance; and "if you have more than one building per lot, yon have to go PUD. This i
attempt to differentiate between the types of development." M. Curry spoke,: saying she
concerned because "something is left out--there is no mention of the City Engineer nevi
Planner Licht. said what is normally done is to have this. under the jurisdiction of the
Building Inspector, but he, in turn, can request additional reviewal.
77.46 Jojade motioned an:d Antolik seconded motion to close the public hearing. Vot
"aye" were. Hazel, Spande, Asmus,'Campbell, Antolik, Lutgens.., .and. Jojade. Mot
carried.
77.47 Motion was made by Spande, seconded by Lutgens, to "recommend to Citp Council
that theg approve the amendment:. to Zoning Ordinance No. 42-.and :Ordinance No.
regarding PUD's, as outlined by the Planner in his report dated ::February 7, 1
Voting "aye" were Spande, Antolik, Campbell, Asmus, i~utgens, Jojade, and Haze
Motion carried.
