UCare Insurance held an informational meeting on Medicare benefits to its clients on
Tuesday, November 1.
Minnesota Valley Photo held its November meeting on Thursday, November 3.
A program entitled An Afternoon with Mark Twain was presented on Sunday, Nov. 6.
The Metropolitan Regional Arts Council held a training meeting for artists and arts-
related organizations on Wednesday, November 9.
Expressions Community Theater opened its two-weekend run of You Better Watch Out
on Friday, November 11.
The Dakota Arts Collaborative held its annual meeting at the LAAC on Wednesday,
November 16.
Lakeville Liquors presented a wine tasting seminar entitled Riedel Three-peat on
Wednesday, November 16.
The Music Staff Studio held a piano recital on Tuesday, November 22.
Billy McLaughlin and Simple Gifts presented two performances of its Christmas concert
on Saturday, November 26.
The lower level was rented for an eighth birthday party on Sunday, November 27.
The Play’s the Thing productions started rehearsals for its December production of
Junie B. in Jingle Bells Batman Smells! on Tuesday, November 29.
The gallery featured Chad Jerzak’s Repottery during November.

performances are currently sold out.
On Saturday, December 17 there is a 7-piece ensemble and vocal group performing A
featuring a variety of holiday favorites. Several of the members

are award-winning musicians from the twin cities area.
The annual Holiday Art Sale & Empty Bowls fundraiser runs December 9-16.

Created and sent quote package for waste/recyclable material collection for City facilities
Continued with planning of Heritage Center construction project
Prepared contracts for snow removal and landscape services at city facilities

Installed “No Horse” signs at Ritter Farm Park and “No Snowmobiling” throughout system
Completed quarterly building inspections and made repairs
Hauled and stockpiled topsoil from Crescent Ridge Development
Installed flags on tee markers at Kenwood Trails Disc Golf course for winter safety
Excavated soil, installed class 5 and graded parking lot at Aronson Park by LFSA garage

Dormant seeding at Kenwood Disc Golf Course and throughout system

Planted trees at East Community, North, Aronson, Quigley-Sime and Fieldstone Parks
Cut back bushes and removed dead vegetation from all planter beds

Completed mowing operations with rented boom mower along trails
Trimmed back trees along Ritter Farm Park trails
Installed tile and culverts where needed on Ritter Farm Park trails
Rink Maintenance
Replaced end-board fencing at Parkview and McGuire west rinks and misc. rink repairs
Scalp-mowed hockey rinks at McGuire and all grass rinks
Special Events
Prepared Vets Memorial for Veterans Day and downtown for Holiday Lighting Ceremony
STS
Removed vegetation from gravel/grass rinks at Greenridge, McGuire and Highview Parks
Removed leaves from Orchard Lake Park and placed in dumpster
Re-stacked sandbags from Antlers Park retaining wall
Removed flowers and weeded beds from Veterans site, Quigley-Sime and King Parks

Nov. 15 - Coffee Lecture, “The JFK Assassination – The Mystery and Legend,” was very
interesting, and the 22 attendees thoroughly enjoyed it.
Nov. 16 - The cross-country ski & snowshoe organizational meeting drew 7 people, but
12 are interested in the program.
Nov. 29 - Six people helped decorate the Senior Center for the holidays.
The Knights of Columbus lasagna dinner held on November 17 was the last lasagna
dinner of the year; 97 people attended.
11 new members during this time period. Total membership is 1,084.
