Minnesota Valley Photo held its December Christmas potluck meeting at the LAAC on
Thursday, December 1.
Monroe Crossing performed a Christmas concert on Saturday, December 3.
The Downtown Lakeville Business Association held its Holiday on Main event Saturday,
December 3. Holly’s Center Stage dancers and Called to Rock performed three programs
during the day.
Valerie Miller’s Montessori school presented a Christmas program on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
Lakeville Liquors presented a wine-tasting seminar entitled Cordially Yours! on
Wednesday, December 7.
The trio, Sister, performed two concerts on Saturday, December 10.
Minnesota Energy Resources held its annual holiday party at the LAAC on Saturday,
December 10.
The Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra presented the Nutcracker Suite on Sunday,
December 11.
Children’s Castle Theater held auditions for its January performances of Peter Pan on
December 13.
The Play’s the Thing Productions opened its 12-performance run of Junie B. Jones in
Jingle Bells, Batman Smells on Friday, December 16.
Old Friend Productions presented a program of Christmas music on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Carolyn Resinger’s Piano Studio presented two recitals on Saturday, December 17.
UCare rented the lower level for an insurance presentation on Monday, December 19.

Prepared specifications and sent out quote package for portable restroom services for
2012 & 2013
Prepared and executed contract for waste/recyclable material collection for all public
buildings/parks for 2012 & 2013
Continued with planning of Heritage Center construction project
Maintenance of Buildings, Park Facilities & General Grounds
Repaired showmobile roof
Constructed and installed roof on kiosk at Kenwood Trails Disc Golf Course
Picked up furniture/misc. from Heritage Center and stored at old Public Works building
Photographed, measured and stored cabinets/furniture to be reused at Heritage Center
Demolition of holding cell walls at the Heritage Center
Cut and laid out conveyor belting to be used as flooring in temporary warming houses
Cut back grasses and shrubs in planting beds for winter
Re-painted and installed additional flammable cabinet in Parks shop
Constructed hand-tool rack for mezzanine
Installed bed liner material in ToolCat box
Organized/cleaned all storage areas and shelving in Parks shops
Washed Park Maintenance trucks and equipment
Picked up barrels from Con-Agra and prepared for painting
Installed beacon lights on fishing piers at Antlers and Casperson
Pulled spud poles up on fishing piers
Completed snow removal from a few snow events

Dec. 3 – Holiday Bazaar; 22 crafters participated, a record number of people attended,
we netted record bake sale and kitchen sales. Made profit of $2,608.00.
Dec. 7 – American Swedish Institute trip. Sixteen people went to tour the institute, dine
there, and then toured the Macy’s Christmas display.
Dec. 13 – Small Wonders Preschool party with the seniors. 15 children visited, saw
Santa Claus and made a craft.
Monthly hearing checks were discontinued due to not having a quiet place to conduct
them, and lack of interest on our members’ part.
Other programs are doing well.
9 new members during this time period. Total membership is 1,097.
