APPROVAL OF PERFORMANCE AGREEMENTS FOR
THE LAKEVILLE AREA ARTS CENTER
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to recommend approval of
performing agreements with the following individuals for the Lakeville Area Arts Center.
Performers
• Jenn Alexander performing Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 7:30 p.m.
• Adam Kuenzel performing Sunday, May 13, 2012, at 2:00 p.m.
Passage of this motion will result in confirming the staff needed to offer programs
advertised in the Park and Recreation brochures and the LAAC playbill.
Overview
The Lakeville Area Arts Center offers activities to the public as advertised in the
Lakeville Park and Recreation brochures and the LAAC Playbill. Performers are
contracted to for concerts as advertised.

Jenn Mexander will perform a concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. February 11, 2012. at
the Lakeville Area Arts Center. 20965 Holyoke Avenue.
[loth Jenn Alexander and the Lakeville Area Arts Center staff will work to promote the show.
Tenn. Alexander will use her data base of contacts and fans to make the concert known. The
Lakeville Area, Arts Center will promote the concert in its 2I111 -2012 playbill, media releascs.

The Lakeville Area Arts Center will print and sell tickets through its box office and ticket
oattlets.
By signing at the bottom of this letter of agreement, Lakeville Area Arts Center and Jenn
Alexander agree to the hollowing conditions:
I ) Perflorniance Space
The LA At. stage will be clear of furniture. _props. scenery. etc. There will be general
staage lig;liti.ng. the sound both and the piano will be available.
?) Liability Insurance
The ('Ity of lakeville carries the standard liability insurance for audiences, Staff. and the
building of the Lakeville Area. Arts Center.
3) Payment
Jean Alexander will receive $66.7" �� of the ticket revenue for his perronrtance.
The LAAC will retain 33.3% of the ticket revenue 1'or rent. advertising. staff etc.
4'� The performer will supply her own instrument,, and will inform the LAAC. ahead oftime if
the piano will be u ed. Rehearsal in the theater may be arranged early can the day ol'the
concert or earlier in the week if the space is open and available.
5) In the event of bad weather making travel to a performance unsafe, the decision to cancel shall
