Passage of this motion will give Tradition Development an additional 100 days to clear up title issues and record the Spirit of Brandtjen Farm 8th Addition final plat. Overview Tradition Development is requesting a 100 day extension for recording the Spirit of Brandtjen Farm 8th Addition final plat, which consists of 14 single family lots located east of Eagleview Drive and north of 170 Street. The Spirit of Brandtjen Farm 8 Addition final plat was approved by the City Council on October 17, 2011. Tradition Development is working with Dakota County to clear up some private easement title issues and needs the additional time in order for the final plat to be recorded. Planning Department staff recommends that the City Council grant a 100 day extension for recording the Spirit of Brandtjen Farm 8 Addition final plat to May 7, 2012. Primary Issues to Consider What are the implications if this final plat extension request is not granted? City Council approval of the Spirit of Brandtjen Farm 8` Addition final plat would become null and void thus requiring a new final plat application for the development of the 14 single family lots.
