Medical Center for Lakeville Police K -9 dogs
Proposed Action
Resolution accepting donation of veterinary services provided to Lakeville Police
Department K -9 dogs by the Cleary Lake Small Animal Medical Center.
Overview
Since 2003, the Cleary Lake Small Animal Medical Center has provided veterinary
services to the Lakeville Police Department's K -9 dogs at no cost to the City of
Lakeville.
The K -9s cared for by Cleary Lake veterinarians include Blue, Shadow and Zeus.
These veterinary services include annual checkups, vaccinations, and preventative
medications. Along with these services, Cleary Lake has cared for our K -9s, when they
have been sick or in jured.
These veterinary services provided to our K -9s ensure that they remain healthy and
effective as an important and valuable asset to our Police Department in helping to
make Lakeville a safer community.
Along with the owners of the Cleary Lake Small Animal Medical Center, Dr. Dave
Hermann and Dr. Kathryn Ott; Dr. Naomi Casper has provided these services to our
K -9s, over the past several years. Dr. Casper has been the primary veterinarian
attending to Blue, Shadow and Zeus's medical needs.
This resolution will acknowledge the donation of these veterinary services in the
approximate fair market value of $774.00 to the City of Lakeville.
