LICENSE RENEWAL
TREE TRIMMING AND REMOVAL
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to renew tree trimming and
removal licenses for 2013.
Passage of this motion will allow 27 businesses to continue the business of tree trimming and
removal in the city.
Overview
Persons are not allowed to conduct the business of tree trimming and removal in the City of
Lakeville without first obtaining a license and submitting the annual license fee and certificate
of liability insurance.
The businesses listed on the attached Exhibit A have submitted renewal applications to
conduct tree trimming and removal in the City of Lakeville for the year 2013. This list will be
posted on the City's website. Renewal applications and insurance certificates are on file in the
City Clerk's office.
Primary Issues to Consider
• Have the applicants met the City Code requirements for a license to conduct tree
trimming and removal?
As required by Title 3, Chapter 14 of the City Code, the applicants have submitted a
renewal application, the $25 annual license fee, a certificate of liability insurance and
proof of workers compensation insurance.
