HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.jJanuary 16, 2013 Item No. FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC UTILITIES WITHIN CHADWICK FARM SIXTH ADDITION January 22, 2013 City Council Meeting Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve final acceptance of public utility improvements within Chadwick Farm Sixth Addition. Passage of this motion will result in the acceptance of the public utilities constructed in Chadwick Farm Sixth Addition. Overview D.R. Horton, Inc. - Minnesota is requesting final acceptance of the public utility improvements within Chadwick Farm Sixth Addition. The contractor performing work on this project was S.R. Weidema, Inc. The utilities were constructed in 2012. The utility improvements for the above - referenced project have been tested and inspected by WSB and the Public Works Department. All necessary paperwork, including final pay estimate and maintenance bond, has been submitted. Primary Issues to Consider ® Do the completed improvements meet City standards? It is also requested that the City reduce to the extent possible the letter of credit for this subdivision (SLCMMSP0611), which has a current balance of $278,990.66. Enclosed is a copy of the most recent pay application for this work, along with copies of the lien waivers for payments made on the contract. Our contractor can produce the maintenance bond, per your direction, once you have had an opportunity to review the enclosed information.
