Formal Introduction of Police Captain Tim Knutson
Proposed Action
Police Chief Tom Vonhof will present Captain Tim Knutson to the City Council in recognition
of Tim Knutson's recent promotion to the rank of Police Captain.
Overview
Captain Tim Knutson was hired by the Lakeville Police Department in 1992 as a patrol officer
after starting his Law Enforcement career as a police officer in Garden City, Kansas.
Over the past 23 years since coming to Lakeville, Captain Knutson has worked in a number of
varied assignments; including spending the past 12 years as a patrol sergeant leading teams
of patrol officers. Captain Knutson has already started his duties in his new assignment as
commander of the Patrol Division.
