Passage of this motion will result in greater traffic safety enforcement.

As a reward for our par Bill. Hammes, coordinator of Towardl Zcro Deaths will be
presenting the City of Lakeville with the following items:
$4200 Kustom Signals LIDAR or traffic safety laser
2 tint meters valued at $300 each
2 Streanlight flashlights valued at $105 each.

RESOLUTION NO. 13 -97
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION
WHEREAS the l\/(innecnta Tlannrtmant of Public Safety Offirp of Traffic Safety hac
offered to donate Kustom Signals LIDAR or traffic safety laser, two tint meters, and two
Streamlight flashlights with a total value of $5,010 to the Lakeville Police Department to be used
for traffic safety enforcement; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or
personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville
that the donation of Kustom Signals LIDAR or traffic safety laser, two tint meters, and two
Streamlight flashlights from MN Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety is hereby
accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOVLED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks the MN
Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety, for the generous donation.
