TREE WORK LICENSE REVOCATION

Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Revoke 2013 tree work license issued to
Tree Masters
Passage of this motion revokes the tree work license issued to Tree Masters as ordered by the
State of Minnesota, Commissioner of Revenue.
Overview
A tree work license was issued by the City Council to Tree Masters in January. On October 28,
2013, the City of Lakeville received a notice from the Minnesota Commissioner of Revenue
that said taxpayer has an overdue liability. Under Minnesota law, the City must revoke the
license.
Primary Issues to Consider
• At what point can Tree Masters re -apply for a tree work license?
Once the delinquency has been resolved, the State of Minnesota will send a clearance
certificate.
