Item No. Passage of this motion will result in compliance with the Local Government Pay Equity Act. erview Minnesota law requires cities to analyze their pay structures to make sure that women are not treated less favorably than men when they are performing work of similar value. Lakeville's jobs were classified using a job evaluation system provided by Riley, Dettman & Kelsey. The evaluation system assigns points to each job based on the education and experience, accountability, mental effort, level of communications, and working conditions required of each position. These "Job Points" along with compensation information are analyzed and a resulting "Predicted Pay" is provided for each position. This data is then summarized on the attached compliance report and must indicate an underpayment ratio of 80% or more in order to be in compliance with the law. The report, using salaries in effect on December 31, 2013, indicates that we continue to maintain compliance Primary Issues to Consider • None Sunyorting In formation • Pay Equity Compliance Report Human Reso ces Manager Financial Impact: $ Budgeted: Y!N Source: Related Documents (CIP, ERP, etc.): Compliance Report Jurisdiction: Lakeville Report Year 2014 20195 Holyoke Avenue Case: 1 - 2013 data (Private (Jur Only)) Lakeville MN 55044 Contact: Cindi Joosten Phone: (952) 985 -4491 E -Mail: cjoosten @lakeviilemn.gov The statistical analysis, salary range and exceptional service pay test results are shown below.
