RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to accept donation of one case of
paperclips from Wal -Mart Stores, Inc.
Passage of this motion will result in the Lakeville Police Department utilizing the donation for
miscellaneous office purposes.

Our department received one case of ACCO Jumbo Paperclips valued at $118.56 to use.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION
WHEREAS, Wal -Mart Stores, Inc. has offered to donate one case of Acco Jumbo
Paperclips valued at $118.56 to the Lakeville Police Department to be used for miscellaneous
office purposes; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or
personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville
that the donation of Acco Jumbo Paperclips from Wal -Mart Stores, Inc. is hereby accepted;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOVLED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks Wal -Mart
Stores, Inc. for the generous donation.
