HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.hMarch 10, 2014 Item No. TEMPORARY ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE FOR LAKEVILLE ROTARY CLUB - TASTE OF LAKEVILLE Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the issuance of a temporary on -sale liquor license to the Lakeville Rotary Passage of this motion will result in the ability of Lakeville Rotary Club to serve alcoholic beverages at the Taste of Lakeville event on Thursday, May 15, 2014. Overview The Lakeville Rotary Club submitted an application for a temporary on -sale liquor license for its 12th annual Taste of Lakeville event. The event will take place at the Lakeville Area Arts Center and will include one musical group, 38 restaurants in 10x10 tents, two wine tents and one beer tent. The entire area will be enclosed by a steel fence, with only one access point. The event will be restricted to only those persons of legal drinking age. No one under the age of 21 will be allowed into the event. Primary Issues to Consider • Does the Lakeville Rotary qualify for a temporary on -sale liquor license? • Has the Lakeville Rotary provided evidence of liability insurance? • Will adequate security be provided? Perimeter security will be provided by Rotarians.
