Teresa's Mexican Restaurant is requesting your permission for our annual Cinco de
Mayo celebration. This is to take place on Monday, May 5, 2014. We are requesting
your approval for a tent that will be placed in the parking lot on the south side of the
restaurant. We also are asking for an extension on our on -sale liquor license to allow
the sale of alcoholic beverages in this fenced in area. Pending your approval the tent
will be installed on the morning of May 3rd and will be removed the morning of May 6th.
This event will begin at 3 in the afternoon with a live broadcast with local country station
K102. Teresa's is planning on having a live acoustic performance by local country
singer Chris Hawkey. His performance will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This Cinco de
Mayo event will conclude at 10 p.m. As directed by the Lakeville Fire Department, there
will be two emergency exits and two fire extinguishers on hand. This is detailed on the
submitted site plan. After speaking with the Lakeville Police Department, Teresa's has
agreed to hire two off-duty officers for security. Teresa's will also have staff present at
the main entrance of the restaurant checking identification and will provide those of age
with wristbands to properly identify them. This is to assure compliance with state and
local liquor laws. In conclusion, Teresa's would like to thank the Lakeville City Council
