MEETING MINUTES
April 9, 2014
Vice Chair Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at
City Hall.
Members Present: Lori Bovitz, Tom Goodwin, Judy Hayes, Scott Kelly, Howard
Lovelace, Jeanne Peterson, Bob Swan
Members Absent: None
Staff Present: Parks & Recreation Director Brett Altergott, Environmental Resources
Manager Mac Cafferty, Recording Secretary Tamara Wallace
2. Approval of February 19, 2014 and March 19, 2014 minutes
Minutes were approved as presented.
3. Citizen comments
There were no citizens present.
4. Staff report
Will revisit the Parks, Trails, and Open Space plan once Dan Licht returns to the
office; a revised copy will be provided to the committee when complete.
Construction on the Kenrick Avenue trail starts April 21; scheduled to be completed
by Memorial Day.

5. Legacy preliminary plat
Staff reviewed the Legacy preliminary plat, and discussed wetland impacts, tree
preservation, trail locations, and park layout.
Motion made by Jeanne Peterson, seconded by Tom Goodwin to recommend
to City Council approval of the Legacy preliminary plat, subject to the
recommendations as presented by City staff.

6. Other Business
Discussed new agenda format and explained City Hall’s gradual implementation of
the Work Flow System which will automatically build agenda’s in the future.
Outdoor rinks update: One of the school districts has submitted the requested
information. Other two school districts have a sked that the request be submitted in
a different format; currently working on the re-submission to those districts now.
Committee Member Bob Swan commented on his recent Heritage Center rental
experience stating the facility was extremely professional, clean, set up just as
needed, staff extremely helpful, and there was great signage.
7. Announcements
Taste of Lakeville and raffle tickets are now on sale.
