Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to grant an on -sale and Sunday
liquor license to Leiserv. LLC d/b/a Brunswick Zone XL -Lakeville
Overview
In accordance with Title 3-1-6-2 of the Lakeville City Code, the City Council will conduct a
public hearing on the application of Leisery LLC for an on -sale and Sunday liquor license at
Brunswick Zone XL -Lakeville, 11129 - 162nd Street W.
The Brunswick Corporation has recently agreed to sell its 100% membership interest in Leisery
LLC to AMF Bowling Centers, Inc. Given the new ownership, a new liquor license is required.
The Police Department reviewed the application and conducted background checks on the new
corporate officers. Operation and management of the bowling center will not change with the
new corporate ownership. A representative of Brunswick Zone XL -Lakeville will be present at
the public hearing to answer any questions. The Police Department recommends approval of the
on -sale and Sunday liquor license as requested.

Background Investigation Process
All parties listed on the wine and 3.2 malt liquor license applications as either an officer
or a manager of the business are required to complete a part II application, which
includes personal information and character references.
On July 30, 2014, I was assigned to the liquor license background check for Brunswick
Zone XL. The following automated databases were checked to conduct this background;
DVS, MNCIS, in-house records, criminal history files. As this business has been in
operation for some time at its current location and no changes in business practices are
anticipated, interviews were not conducted as a part of this process.

All parties listed above were clear as checked for this application purpose.
Narrative:
I spoke with an employee at Brunswick Zone XL and was told that the operation of both
management and employees will not be changing with the new ownership. This
background is required by ordinance. All persons checked returned clear. Based upon
this investigation, the Lakeville Police Department recommends the license(s) be
approved.
