RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
CITY ASSETS FROM VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to authorize the sale of
assets from various City Departments as listed on Exhibit A of the proposed resolution.
Passage of this motion will result in the sales of the listed assets through JMS Auctions
through the K -Bid Auction site.
Overview
Staff is seeming City Council approval to sell an assortment of premiums and display
materials received from liquor vendors, abandoned property and City assets which have
exceeded their useful life.
This online auction will be held in conjunction with the Heritage Center Fundraising
Auction of donated items provided by residents and areas businesses.

• When and how does the auction take place?
JMS Auction Services will be posting the auction on line through the K -Bid auction site
sometime during the week of October 6th. The on-line auction will close on October
23rd, and pick up will occur on Saturday, October 25th from 9-4 p.m.
• How are the anticipated profits from these items to be used?
As outlined in Exhibit A, the net proceeds from city assets will allocated to the fund that
financed the original purchase. Proceeds from abandoned property will be allocated to
the General Fund. Proceeds from Liquor premiums and displays and donated items will
be allocated to the Heritage Center Construction Fund.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the assets listed on Exhibit A attached hereto are hereby
authorized to be sold to the highest responsible bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any items not sold as shown on Exhibit A
attached hereto are authorized to be recycled, scrapped or retained for fixture auctions.
