RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO RE -GUIDE PROPERTY FROM COMMERCIAL TO INDUSTRIAL WHEREAS, on November 6, 2014, the Lakeville Planning Commission met to consider the application of Fulford Group LLC for a Comprehensive Plan amendment to re -guide property located south of Lakeville Boulevard (CSAH 50) and east of Cedar Avenue (CSAH 23) from commercial to industrial (Exhibit A) in conjunction with the preliminary plat of Fulford Group 1St Addition. The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment preceded by published and mailed notice and unanimously recommended approval; and WHEREAS, the development proposed by the Comprehensive Plan amendment is an opportunity to expand employment and tax base consistent with the economic development goals of the Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota: I. The Comprehensive Plan amendment will not have a substantial impact on or contain a substantial departure from Metropolitan System Plans. 2. The Comprehensive Plan amendment is hereby approved subject to authorization by the Metropolitan Council and the recording of the Fulford Group 1 st Addition final plat.
