Performance Outcomes Proposed Proposed Increase 2015 2015 2015 Rental Revenue 27,231 32,250 $ 5,019 Factors to Consider The park shelter fees have not been increased since 2010 and since that time the number of rentals has varied from year to year at every park except Antlers. Due to the high demand at Antlers Park staff is proposing charging a "prime" rate on Saturday's and Sunday's beginning in mid-May and running through Labor Day. In addition, staff is proposing to change the business rate from the three tier system to a single tier to make it more attractive for local businesses to consider hosting a summer picnic in our parks. Lastly, it is recommended to increase the fee of the enclosed shelters to cover the additional time the sanitation crew spends cleaning those facilities. 7 HERITAGE CENTER Historical $50 - $110/ hour Based on group renting $35 - $115 hour Proposed Based on rental of kitchen $16 0 $49/ hour $21 - $107 hour $27.50 - $149/ hour ,. 2015 2014 2013 2012 Member/ Lakeville Resident/ Business $20-$45/hour $30-$55 hour $50-$65/hour Based on group renting Art Room $30/hr $25 $25 $25 Small Multi -Purpose Room $30Ahr $25 $25 $25 Medium Multi -Purpose Room $30/hr $25 $25 $25 Large Multi -Purpose Room $160/4hrs $150 $150 $150 Kitchen $55/hr $50 $50 $50 Atrium with Kitchen $45/hr $40 $40 $40 Atrium without Kitchen $30/hr $25 $25 $25 AV Equipmet Rental $50 Non -Lakeville Business/ Resident Art Room $40/hr $35 $35 $35 Small Multi -Purpose Room $40/hr $35 $35 $35 Medium Multi -Purpose Room $40/hr $35 $35 $35 Large Multi -Purpose Room $185/4hrs $175 $175 $175 Kitchen $65/hr $60 $60 $60 Atrium with Kitchen $55/hr $50 $50 $50 Atrium without Kitchen $40/hr $35 $35 $35 Comparable Cities Apple Valley Bloomington Burnsville Eagan Eden Prairie Edina Farmington Inver Grove Heights Maple Grove Plymouth Rosemount Woodbury $20 - $60/ hour $50 - $110/ hour Based on group renting $35 - $115 hour $69 - $115/ hour Based on rental of kitchen $16 0 $49/ hour $21 - $107 hour $27.50 - $149/ hour Based on group renting $160-$450 $290-$725 $340-$850 Based on time of da $20-$45/hour $30-$55 hour $50-$65/hour Based on group renting $180 - $400/ 4 h rs $200-$400 4hrs $500 - $1150/ 4 h rs $25 more/ hrafter4 hours $17/ 2 hours $65/ 2 hours $250/ 5 hours Addt'I per hr cost: $ 8.50 - $55 $32 - $42/ hour $32 - $42/ hour $75 -$85/ hour Ful I day range: $630 - $1100 $240-$270 $325-$775 Based on rental of kitchen $30-$75/hour $50-$100/hour $390-$1255 IPer day rates available for all $30-$50/ hour $300-$900 $400-$1200 j Based on day of the week $21.43 - $32.14/ hr $42.85 - $91.06 hr $1071.25 - $1499.75 1 Based on rental of kitchen Performance Outcomes Proposed Revised Increase 2015 2015 2015 Rental Revenue $14,365 $26,500 $12,135 Factors to Consider Staff recommends only a slight increase in the fees to cover the cost of inflation (utilities, wages, etc.). The theater companies that use the facility for rehearsals and performances have been exploring other options for rehearsals in an effort to control costs. In 2015 staff will study usage patterns and recommend a revised fee structure that will increase the cost recovery of the Art Center. D
