In July 2014, members of the TCPBA met with City and Chamber staff as well as the President of the Lake Marion Association. At this meeting TCPBA representatives presented an overview of their organization, the boats/race classes, safety protocols and proposed race course. The proposal was met with enthusiasm by all in attendance. City staff felt it was important to involve the City Council in the process prior to any further discussions regarding boat races on Lake Marion. Brian Tabara, Commodore of the TCPBA, will make a brief presentation and answer any questions that council members may have.
