AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 1
OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY CODE
CONCERNING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve an ordinance
amending Title 3, Chapter 1 of the Lakeville City Code Concerning Alcoholic Beverages.
Passage of this motion will allow the City of Lakeville to issue the following licenses; Taproom,
Brewpub, and Cocktail Room Licenses.
Overview
In July 2014, the City Council adopted a zoning ordinance amendment to allow brew on
premises, brewery, small brewery, brewpub, distillery, micro -distillery, farm winery, tap room
and tasting room uses in certain agricultural, commercial and industrial zoning districts.
The City of Lakeville at this time does not have licenses established to allow for these types of
businesses. This ordinance amendment would establish these licenses and allow an
establishment to conduct on -sale and limited off -sale business.
