HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.dApril 9, 2015 Item No. RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM VARIOUS SOURCES TO THE LAKEVILLE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2015 Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve resolution accepting donations from various sources to the Lakeville Parks & Recreation Department in the first quarter of 2015. Overview Donations from various sources were received by the Lakeville Parks & Recreation Department. Please see the supporting information for details. On behalf of our department, we sincerely thank these individuals and businesses for their generosity. RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM VARIOUS SOURCES TO THE LAKEVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, several individuals and local businesses as indicated on the attached list made donations to the City of Lakeville's Parks & Recreation Department; and WHEREAS, the donations were beneficial to the department; and WHEREAS, the individuals and businesses have offered to transfer full rights of ownership of the donations to the City of Lakeville with no conditions or reservations; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota that the donations by these individuals and businesses are hereby accepted; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks the individuals and the businesses for their generous donations.
