Passage of this motion will result in the ability of Lakeville Family Bowl to consume alcoholic beverages in their outdoor area (horseshoe courts) located on the north side of their building for two special events this summer. Overview The owners of Lakeville Family Bowl are planning two special events and request the ability to consume alcohol in their horseshoe courts. The Pan-O-Prog horseshoe pitching tournament will be held on July 4th from 10 a.m. until approximately 6 p.m. A customer appreciation day is being planned for August 20th, from approximately 3 to 9 p.m. Preliminary plans are also under way for a 2016 Memorial Day event. The specific details on that event will be provided next spring. The police department reviewed the request and has no objection to the extension of the liquor license, provided Lakeville Family Bowl abides by the attached list of stipulations. Primary Issues to Consider • Will outside alcohol sales take place? They do not plan on selling alcohol outside during the event. • Will individuals not of legal age to consume alcohol have access to alcohol during the outdoor event? It is a mixed age event, so monitoring by Lakeville Bowl personnel will be required to prevent passing of alcohol between persons who are and are not of legal age to consume alcohol.
