RESOLUTION NO. 15-80
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR
CHOKECHERRY HILL 4THADDITION
WHEREAS, on 4 June 2015, the Lakeville Planning Commission met to consider the
application of Shamrock Development for a Comprehensive Plan amendment to bring
approximately 22 acres into the current MUSA and to re -guide that 22 acres from special plan
area to low/medium density residential in conjunction with the preliminary plat of
Chokecherry Hill 411 Addition. The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the
proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment preceded by published and mailed notice and
unanimously recommended approval; and
WHEREAS, the Chokecherry Hill 4th Addition single family home development proposed
by the Comprehensive Plan amendment is consistent with the housing policies and goals of the
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment has been submitted to
adjacent governmental jurisdictions and the affected school district and no objections have
been expressed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposed Comprehensive Plan and
MUSA amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville,
Minnesota:
I. The Comprehensive Plan and MUSA amendment will not have a substantial
impact on or contain a substantial departure from Metropolitan System Plans.
2. The Comprehensive Plan amendment is hereby approved subject to
authorization by the Metropolitan Council and the recording of the Chokecherry
Hill 4th Addition final plat.
