HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.i June 30, 2015 Item No._____ Extension of the On-Sale Liquor License for Ole Piper Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the extension of the On- Sale Liquor License for Ole Piper Restaurant & Sports Bar Passage of this motion will result in the ability of Ole Piper Restaurant & Sports Bar to serve alcoholic beverages in their fenced-in parking lot on Sunday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Overview Travis Pioske, Ole Piper General Manager, has requested an extension of their on-sale liquor license to cover the sale of alcohol in the fenced-in parking lot during an outdoor charity event on Sunday, July 19. Food and beverages will be served outside; canned beer will be provided for sale to those 21 years of age and older. Access to the event will be controlled by Ole Piper personnel, and those of legal drinking age will be issued a wristband. The event will include family friendly music by DJ Danny Egan. Ole Piper personnel are required to notify all surrounding businesses and residents of the proposed event. The police department reviewed the request and recommends approval of the liquor license extension, subject to the attached list of stipulations. A certificate of insurance extending coverage to the outdoor area has been provided. (All other sides of the site are already fenced.)  Notification to surrounding neighbors expected to be impacted by the event, advising them of the noise and parking levels to be expected.  Control access to the event and identify/wristband those of legal age to consume alcohol  All outdoor music will cease by 5:00 p.m.  All outdoor alcohol service will cease by 5:00 p.m.  The Police Chief or designee has the authority to direct the event manager to control the level of noise and/or terminate the event at any time  Site plan must be submitted to the City’s Fire Inspector and must comply with fire code requirements
