ANGRY INCH BREWING LLC
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to grant a taproom license to Angry
Inch Brewing LLC, located at 20841 Holyoke Avenue.
Overview
In accordance with Title 3-1-6-2 of the Lakeville City Code, the City Council will conduct a
public hearing on the application of Angry Inch Brewing LLC for a license to operate a taproom
at 20841 Holyoke Avenue. The taproom will be located on the north side of the former Ace
Hardware building in downtown Lakeville. The applicant is also requesting approval of a 46-seat
outdoor patio.
The Police Department reviewed the application of Angry Inch Brewing LLC and conducted a
background investigation on the owners, Jon Erickson, Joshua Hebznski and Mark Hotzler. The
Police Department recommends approval.

• Does the applicant, Angry Inch Brewing LLC, meet the requirements for a taproom
license?
The applicant meets all State and City requirements for the license requested.

Narrative Description of Proposed Business:
Proposed business will be a microbrewery with taproom. Clientele will be over the age of 21, but
mainly 25-65yr olds. No food will be served on site. Entertainment will consist of a projection
screen for sporting events and indoor stereo with the occasional indoor, acoustic live music.

Background Investigation Process
The person(s) listed on the Taproom application are an owner, officer, partner, or director
of the business with financial interest in excess of five percent. The applicants completed
the required personal information application for a liquor license.
On May 28, 2015, I was assigned to the liquor license background investigation of the
Angry Inch Brewing, LLC. The following automated databases were checked to
conduct this background; DVS, MNCIS, in-house records, and criminal history files.
Interviews were also conducted as part of my investigation.
Conclusion
The background investigation is complete.
Based on State Statute and Lakeville City Code, the applicants meet the qualifications for
a Taproom license.
The Police Department recommends approval.
