\v A soeciul ::eeting of the Lakeville Planning Commission was held in the Town Hall of
Lakeville Village on 1 onday, February 28th, 1965 at 8 r.,.'. The following members
were presents W. Barrett, S. Kolstad, G. Lydon, A. Patenauds and J. Gralow.
The meeting; was called to order by the chairman of the board. The special issue
of R. C. Hitchcock I. Sons Inc. request for rezoning, legal description printed in
previous issue of February 24th, 1965 of Dakota County Tribune, from agricultural -
residential to commercial -industrial.
A lengthy discussion was held from the floor. The general feeling among tho people
indicated a strong favor of approval. Cme of the most enthusiastic persons was the
school superintendent of our school district. to analysis was presented by RX.
Dahlgren, member of Lidwest Planners Inc. of the possibilities of problems that till
be faced by the corm1unity, both favorable and unfavorable and his m!iin theme seer-nad
to center around the importance of future planning for the aaas whole township and
in particular this industrial area.
Mr. Sauber, the only property owner who declined to sell his property in this area,
objected vigorously against the proposed airport which is contemplated and is one
of the most important parts of this industrial park.
It was mioved by fir. Patarwude and seconded by Mr. Barrett to core the discussion
from the floor. Carried unanimously.
It was moved by 11. Ciralow and seconded by Yr. Batrett that we recornnand to the
Town Board th.t this property be rezoned fr m agricultural -residential to comr.ercial-
industrial. However, we reconaend that the Town Board obtain a letter of agree=ent
frou-, k= R. C. Hitchcock & :3ons Inc. that they will comply oith changes now being
made in the zoning ordinances of Lakeville Township.
iln amendment to the motion was Lade by Vx. Lydon and seconded by Yr. Gralow to
strike out the word, "comply ", and insert in it's pl%ce the word "Co-operate". TIle
amendment was carried unanimously.
The mein motion with the amendment was acted on and carried unanimously.
A motion was made to adjourn. Carried unanimously.
The reetinZ was called back to order by the chairman in reg^rd to Mr. ,J Xankale
request for rezoning his property.

A motion was made by ; fir. <.rrett and seconded by 1r. Gralow tkKtxxGZreeorrnend to the
Town Board that Lots 22, 23, 24 & 25, Block 129 P,ntlerls P ark, Lakeville Township,
be rezoned from residential to comr.ereial-residential a.nd that the apartment boil-
ing to be constructed on this sight be reduced to a 2 -story, 8 unit instead of the
2-1/2 story, 12 unit originally requested. Unanimously carried.
