HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.gOctober 5, 2015 Item No.________ RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM INVISIBLE FENCE- TWIN CITIES Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Approve resolution to accept eight (8) oxygen masks for pets donated from Invisible Fence – Twin Cities to the Lakeville Fire Department. Passage of this motion will provide oxygen masks to be placed on fire department vehicles. Overview Lakeville Fire was notified by Invisible Fence that they would like to donate eight (8) oxygen masks to the department. Those masks would be placed on vehicles for use when there is a family pet in need of oxygen at an incident. Primary Issues to Consider · Acknowledgement of Donation. · Chief Meyer will draft a “Thank You” letter following Council’s approval of this resolution. Supporting Information Michael Meyer, Fire Chief Financial Impact: $__N/A_________ Budgeted: Y☐/N☐ Source: __________________ Related Documents (CIP, ERP, etc.): ________________________________________ Community Values: Good Value for Public Service_________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION NO._________ RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM INVISIBLE FENCE TWIN CITIES WHEREAS, Invisible Fence – Twin Cities has offered to donate eight oxygen masks for pets to the City of Lakeville Fire Department; WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville that the donation of eight oxygen masks from Invisible Fence – Twin Cities is hereby accepted; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks Invisible Fence – Twin Cities.
