HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.qDecember 7, 2015 Item No.________ RESOLUTION: SETTING COMPENSATION & REIMBURSEMENT RATES FOR FIRE OFFICER & ENGINEERS Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of: Resolution Setting Compensation Rates for Fire Officer & Engineers. Overview The City has determined that a nominal fee should be paid to Fire Department Officers and Engineers to defray the costs of fulfilling these duties and responsibilities. Passage of this resolution will better help offset costs incurred by our fire officer and engineers for attending additional training and fulfilling those responsibilities for the positions that are held. The proposed fire officer or engineer compensation proposed for 2016 are consistent with fire department pay practices found in other cities. There is no increase for firefighter call or training pay proposed for 2016. Staff recommends adoption of this resolution.
