Any required repairs shall be made immediately. 1.3.2 Replacement - Fabric shall be replaced promptly when it decomposes or becomes ineffective before the barrier is no longer necessary. 1.3.3 Sediment removal - Sediment deposits should be removed after each storm event. They must be removed when deposits reach approximately one-third the height of the barrier. Any sediment remaining in place after the silt fence or filter barrier is no longer required shall be dressed to conform with the existing grade, prepared and seeded. 1.3.4 Removal of silt fence - Silt fences shall be re- moved when they have served their useful purpose, but not before the upslope area has been permanently stabi- lized. If the upslope area is to be exposed longer than 6 months, that area shall be covered with tempo- rary vegetation when first exposed. NOTES 1. Contractor is advised that existing utilities are shown in their approximate location and have been taken from information supplied by the City of Lakeville, the architect, developer, surveyor and the owner. The engineer makes no guarantee that the utilities shown comprise all such utilities in the area nor that they are shown in their exact location. Contractor shall verify all utility locations prior to commencement of construction. Any discrepancies shall immediately be brought to the attention of the engineer. 2. All elevations are in reference to the benchmark and must be verified by contractor at groundbreak. 3. All construction activities shall comply with local ordinance and City Standard Specifications. 5. Regular pavement section shall be 6 -inches class 5 aggregate with 1-1/2 inch bituminous base and 1-1/2 inch bituminous wear courses. EROSION CONTROL 1. Best management practices shall be utilized for all erosion control. Contractor shall refer to: Protecting Water Quality in Urban Areas published by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the Dakota Conservation District's Erosion and Sediment Control Manual. 2. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to check and maintain all erosion control for the duration of the project. 3. The contractor shall install silt fence prior to mass earthwork. 4. The contractor shall remove all soil and sediment tracked or deposited off-site on pavement areas. Soil removal shall be accomplished by shoveling or sweeping on a daily basis. Street washing will not be allowed. 5. Straw bales shall be installed around all catch basins until the site is paved. 6. Site landscape areas shall be seeded and mulched within 72 hours after completion of grading. The seeding shall be performed in accordance to MnDot Spec. #2575, with seed mixture No. 50 B in accordance with MnDot Spec. #3876 and applied at the rate of 50 pounds per acre. Mulch complying with MnDot Spec. 3882, Type 1, shall be applied and disc anchored in accordance with MnDot Spec. No. 2575.3 F.1 at the rate of 2 tons per acre.
