DONATIONS FROM LAKEVILLE PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a resolution accepting
donations valued at $7,396.50 from the Lakeville Public Safety Foundation to the police
department.
Overview
The Lakeville Public Safety Foundation, a charity supporting police and fire departments in
Lakeville, donated a Hornady Lock N Load Hot Tub Sonic Cleaner valued at $483.75 to the
Lakeville Police Department. The Cleaner is used to ultrasonically clean department weapons,
including handguns and rifles.
The Lakeville Public Safety Foundation has also donated five HeartStart Defibrillators and five
Ready Packs to the Lakeville Police Department. The HeartStart Defibrillators and Ready Packs
are valued at $6,912.75.
Primary Issues to Consider
The Police Department appreciates the support of our community and thanks the Lakeville
Public Safety Foundation for its continued support of our public safety departments.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION
WHEREAS, Lakeville Public Safety Foundation, a charity supporting police and
fire departments in Lakeville, has offered to donate a Hornady Lock N Load Hot Tub
Sonic Cleaner valued at $483.75 to the Lakeville Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Lakeville Public Safety Foundation has also offered to donate five
HeartStart Defibrillators and five Ready-Packs valued at $6,912.75 to the Lakeville
Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of
real or personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the
governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Lakeville accepts the donations valued at $7,396.50 from the Lakeville Public Safety
Foundation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks the
Lakeville Public Safety Foundation for its generous donation.
