HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.iApril 18, 2016 Lakeville KENYON RETAIL FINAL PLAT EXTENSION Item No. Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a 100 day extension for the Kenyon Retail final plat. Overview Due to the pending expiration of the Kenyon Retail final plat, the property owner and developer (Diversified Equity Investments, LLC) requests a 100 day extension to the final plat the City Council approved on November 2, 2015. Staff approved a previous 100 day extension to the final plat on February 5, 2016 as allowed by the Subdivision Ordinance. The Kenyon Retail final plat includes two commercial lots (two retail buildings and one senior memory care building) and one outlot south of 162nd Street (CSAH 46) and east and north of Kenyon Avenue. Primary Issues to Consider • What will happen to the Kenyon Retail final plat if the extension is not approved? The final plat will expire on April 30, 2016 if the extension is not approved requiring submittal of a new final plat application. The developer's attorney has informed staff that the developer plans to record the final plat by April 30th or soon thereafter.
