EXTENSION OF ON-SALE LIQUOR LICENSE FOR
LAKEVILLE FAMILY BOWL
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve extension of the on-sale
liquor license for Lakeville Family Bowl to allow the consumption of alcohol in the outdoor area
for three special events.
Overview
The owners of Lakeville Family Bowl are planning three special events and request the ability to
consume alcohol in their outdoor area (horseshoe courts). The Pan-O-Prog horseshoe pitching
tournament will be held on July 2nd from 11 a.m. until approximately 6 p.m. A customer
appreciation day is being planned for August 18th, from approximately 3 to 9 p.m. Lakeville
Family Bowl is also planning a Memorial Day event on May 29, 2017.
The police department reviewed the request and has no objection to the extension of the liquor
license, provided Lakeville Family Bowl abides by the attached list of stipulations.
Primary Issues to Consider
• Will outside alcohol sales take place? They do not plan on selling alcohol outside during
these events.
• Will individuals not of legal age to consume alcohol have access to alcohol during the
outdoor events? They are mixed age events, so monitoring by Lakeville Bowl personnel
will be required to prevent passing of alcohol between persons who are and are not of
legal drinking age.
