HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.l Date: Item No. PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT FIRE DEPARTMENT PAGERS Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Authorize purchase of replacement fire department pagers from the State Cooperative Purchasing Contract Number 40071. Overview The 2017-2021 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) reflects the replacement of fire department pagers. The State Cooperative Purchasing Contract (#40071) pricing expires on December 31, 2016. Vendors have stated that the pricing of radios and associated equipment will be increasing in 2017. Motorola will provide a rebate of $400 per ten pagers purchased. Total cost of the purchase of ninety (90) pagers and associated equipment from Motorola Solutions is as follows: Gross Purchase Price $39,644.00 Less: Rebate ($ 3,600.00) Plus: Shipping $ 45.00 Net Cost $36,089.00 Anticipated delivery date is January, 2017. The 2017 adopted Equipment Fund budget includes the replacement cost for all of the pagers.
