HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.n December 19, 2016 Item No. ______ CROSSROADS EAST SECOND ADDITION FINAL PLAT EXTENSION Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a 100 day extension for the Crossroads East Second Addition final plat. Overview Due to the pending expiration of the Crossroads East Second Addition final plat, the applicant and developer (Christian Brothers Automotive) requests a 100 day extension to the final plat the City Council approved on September 6, 2016 as allowed by the Subdivision Ordinance. The Crossroads East Second Addition final plat consists of one commercial lot and one outlot. The Subdivision Ordinance requires an extension to record the final plat be approved by the City Council. The developer has been working to obtain signatures on the mylars of the approved final plat and is requesting additional time to complete the required documentation. The 100 day extension will give the developer until March 25, 2017 to record the final plat. Primary Issues to Consider • What will happen to the Crossroads East Second Addition final plat if the extension is not approved? The final plat will expire if the extension is not approved requiring submittal of a new final plat application.
