HomeMy WebLinkAbout17-125CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION NO. 17-125 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN INSPECTION VEHICLE AND AMENDING THE 2017 BUDGET WHEREAS, the 2017 General Fund budget was adopted on December 5, 2016; and WHEREAS, The Personnel Committee authorized the addition of a building inspector and associated equipment/vehicle mid -year 2017 due to the increase in building permit activity over the last few years; and WHEREAS, State Statute 471.345 sets forth the law regulating the sale or purchase of supplies, materials, equipment or the rental thereof, or the construction, alteration, repair or maintenance of real or personal property in Minnesota cities and the City of Lakeville. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. Staff is authorized to purchase an inspection vehicle at an estimated cost of $25,000. 3. The 2017 General Fund budget is amended for personnel and vehicle costs in the amount of $66,000 using additional permit revenues as the funding source.
