Passage of this motion will provide funds to be used towards the purchase of Carbon Monoxide Information handouts used at Fire Prevention Events. Overview The Lakeville Fire Department staff was contacted by Farmers Insurance agent Jon St Aubin interested to donate $100.00 in fire prevention materials. Staff provided information on Carbon Monoxide handouts. Farmer Insurance has purchased the handouts and will deliver them to the department once received. Some grants and donations may require the City to incur additional expenditures in order to comply with grant agreements and restricted donations; therefore, staff is seeking authority to amend the budget, as appropriate. Primary Issues to Consider • Acknowledgement of donation acceptance • Chief Meyer will draft a “Thank You” letter following Council’s approval of this resolution.
