An 18-hole disc golf course was constructed by Parks staff and opened in the fall of 2011. Staff has
conƟnued to make improvements to the course since opening day. The course features two concrete tee
pads on 15 of the 18 holes and two baskets on
each hole, allowing four different layouts,
difficulty and distance all on one course. Staff
worked with a well-known disc golf course
designer to create a very picturesque and
challenging course.
This is a joint venture between the School
District and the City of Lakeville. The future of
this course is dependent on the responsibility of
its users—please be respecƞul of the School
District’s property.

The Heritage
Center Fitness
Center has nine
commercial-grade
exercise machines
- three treadmills, three ellipƟcals,
two recumbent bikes and an aerobic
rider. The cost for members to use
the fitness center is $10 per year,
which gives you access to all of this
equipment everyday the Heritage
Center is open (typically 8 a.m. to
4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday).
If you use the fitness center just two
Ɵmes per week throughout the year,
each visit would cost you less than
10¢ per visit. A preƩy good deal!

Group plays on Tuesdays and/or Fridays at 9 a.m. Pickleball is a fun game played on a lined court similar
to a tennis court with a plasƟc ball and paddles. It’s easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a
quick, fast-paced, compeƟƟve game for experienced players. Equipment is available for those who do
not have any. Bring a lawn chair and water. $5 annual fee.

Rides are usually on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays leaving the Heritage Center at 10 a.m. and stopping for
lunch. This group is for men and women. Rides are determined by the group. Helmets are required.

Rides are usually on Wednesdays, meeƟng at the Heritage Center at 8:45 a.m. This bicycle club rides
approximately 20 miles per ouƟng in the metro area and stops for lunch. Rides will be determined
by the group. You must provide your own bicycle, helmet and bright neon yellow or green vest or
shirt. In case of inclement weather, the group will ride on Friday of that week. $5 annual fee.

Summer is a perfect Ɵme to start a nature journal. In this
camp we will teach basic sketching skills. Using arƟst-grade
materials we will observe and record nature experiences
outdoors. On rainy days we’ll bring nature indoors and
draw items such as a pine cone or a flower. AŌer the camp
is complete, the journal is yours to keep to be conƟnued
through the summer. As with most journals—you’ll have
fun looking through them years later!

Upon registraƟon your child is automaƟcally accepted into
the cast—no acƟng experience necessary. AudiƟons for
specific parts take place the first day of camp from 1 to 3
p.m. Rehearsal Ɵmes will vary by the part your child gets,
so flexibility for pick-up/drop-off Ɵmes is needed. In
general, rehearsal Ɵmes will fall between 12:30 and 5:15
p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday,
rehearsal will begin late aŌernoon and will last right up to
show Ɵme. All costumes, music and scenery are provided
and are included in the registraƟon fee. Tickets to the
performances are $7 and can be purchased at

Ages 15+
DemonstraƟons will cover hand-building and basic wheel-
throwing techniques for beginners, as well as more
advanced concepts for intermediate students. Students
work at their own pace with both individualized and group
instrucƟon. Please bring an old towel.
Time: 6-9 p.m.
Cost: $125 (includes 25 lbs. of clay and $10 worth of firing—
addiƟonal firing is $1/lb.)

CONCRETE GARDEN LEAVES
Ages 18+
Looking for some creaƟve garden art ideas? Concrete
leaves are just the Ɵcket – they turn out amazing and are
simply gorgeous tucked into flower beds around the yard
and easy to make too! Using leaves as molds the concrete is
cast in a bed of sand. This workshop was a sell-out last year,
so sign up early!

ConfirmaƟons: The Parks & RecreaƟon Department will send program
receipts to confirm registraƟon if registering other than online. If a
class is full, your name will be placed on a waiƟng list.
Deadlines: Please register early to ensure a space. Most acƟviƟes have
registraƟon deadlines, generally five business days prior to start of
acƟvity (unless otherwise noted). The Parks & RecreaƟon Department
reserves the right to cancel a program. Those enrolled in a program
that is cancelled will receive a refund.
Payment: RegistraƟon, team sports and facility reservaƟons can be
made with cash, check or credit card.
Refund Policy: RegistraƟon fees for a program cancelled by the Parks
& RecreaƟon Department will be fully refunded. A $2 service fee will
be charged for individual cancellaƟons made prior to the start of
program and/or acƟvity registraƟon deadline. No refunds can be
made aŌer start of program and/or acƟvity registraƟon deadline,
whichever comes first.
Scholarships: Financial scholarships are available for eligible youth
