HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.e November 6, 2017 Item No. _____ SUMMERLYN NORTHWEST PRELIMINARY PLAT EXTENSION Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a two-year extension to the Summerlyn Northwest preliminary plat until November 6, 2019. Overview Lennar is requesting a two year extension for the preliminary plat located east of Dodd Boulevard (CSAH 9) and south of 190th Street. The request is due to current market conditions effecting this plat. A one-year extension was approved for the preliminary plat on October 16, 2016. The Summerlyn Northwest preliminary plat of 84 single family lots was approved on November 3, 2014. The phase one final plat of 35 single family lots was approved on March 6, 2017. Primary Issue to Consider What is the result if the preliminary plat is not extended? The preliminary plat will expire requiring Lennar to resubmit plans and applications for preliminary plat approval of the remaining lots.
