HomeMy WebLinkAbout17-174CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION NO: 17-174 RESOLUTION ORDERING THE KENRICK AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WHEREAS, on October 16, 2017, the City Council fixed a date for public hearing on the Kenrick Avenue Improvement Project. The project will include property in that part of Sections 1 and 12 Township 114 Range 21 within the City of Lakeville, Dakota County, Minnesota, and also being in subdivisions: Oak Shores Seventh Addition, Superamerica 3rd Addition, Jacksons 11 Addition, Kenrick Commons, Leos South First Addition, Gopher Mini Storage First Addition, Second, and Third Additions, Harley Davidson Addition, Lakeville Motoprimo, Mills Lakeville Addition, as well as those metes and bounds parcels located along Kenrick Avenue between Maple Island Road and the southerly end of Mills Lakeville Addition City Improvement Project 18-03; and WHEREAS, the required published notices of hearing through a weekly publication were given, the required mailed notice of the improvement hearing was given to each property owner in the proposed assessment area at least ten days prior to the hearing, and the hearing was held on November 20, 2017, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Lakeville City Council: 1. The Kenrick Avenue Improvement Project is hereby ordered as identified in the Feasibility Report for Project 18-03, dated October 16, 2017. 2. The City expects to issue bonds for the project costs. 3. The estimated project costs are $2,961,260.00, and anticipated funding sources are listed below. Staff is hereby authorized to make the appropriate transfers between funds with respect to the non -debt project funding sources up to 10% above the estimated costs. Funding transfers may include loans between funds to cover engineering and other costs incurred on the project in advance of receiving bond proceeds. WSB & Associates, Inc. is hereby authorized to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvements, and placing advertisements for bids.
