FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC STREETS AND UTILITIES
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve final acceptance of public
streets and utilities installed with Spirit of Brandtjen Farm 17th Addition, Spirit of Brandtjen
Farm Elementary Addition and Summerlyn 4th and 5th Additions.
Overview
SBF Development Corp. requests final acceptance of the public street and utility improvements
installed with the development of Spirit of Brandtjen Farm 17th Addition and Spirit of Brandtjen
Farm Elementary Addition. The prime contractor responsible for the public improvement work
on the above-referenced projects was Enebak Construction Company.
Lennar requests final acceptance of the public street and utility improvements installed with the
development of Summerlyn 4th and 5th Additions. The prime contractor responsible for the
public improvement work on the above-referenced projects was Nodland Construction
Company.
The public utilities, curb and gutter, and bituminous base-course pavements for these
developments were constructed in 2015 and 2016. The bituminous wear-course pavements for
these developments were constructed in 2017. The public street and utility improvements for the
above-referenced developments were tested and inspected by WSB & Associates and the City’s
Public Works Department.
Primary Issues to Consider
• The public street and utility improvements installed with the above-referenced
developments were completed consistent with the City’s construction standard
specifications and the administrative requirements for final acceptance.
