RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDING FOR CITY PROJECT 13-09
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion as part of the Consent Agenda: Move to
approve a resolution authorizing funding for City Project 13-09 (County project 09-36), Dodd
Boulevard Reconstruction (194th St to 185th St).
Overview
In 2015, the City of Lakeville and Dakota County partnered on the project to reconstruct Dodd
Boulevard from 194th St to 185th St. The project costs have recently been finalized by the County,
and staff is requesting Council authorization for funding of the costs.
The project was completed prior to December 31, 2017, and staff is still in process of finalizing
2017 financials. Therefore, staff is requesting the authority to amend the 2017 budget and make
the appropriate transfers in 2017.

Note- County was the lead agency on this project, and therefore the costs shown
above reflect the amounts that were billed directly to the City of Lakeville, as well as
the City share of costs incurred by the County.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDING FOR CITY PROJECT 13-09
WHEREAS, on October 5, 2015, the City Council approved a JPA with Dakota County for
the reconstruction of Dodd Boulevard from 194th St to 185th St, and
WHEREAS, on April 21, 2014, the City Council approved Resolution No. 14-28 for a
property acquisition in the right of way of project 13-09.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
The final costs of the 13-09 project are $4,145,418. Anticipated funding sources are
listed below. Staff is hereby authorized to amend the 2017 budget and make the
appropriate transfers between funds with respect to the funding sources.
