ACCEPTING CASH DONATION TO POLICE RESERVES
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to accept a $25.00 donation to the
Lakeville Police Department Police Reserves from Marilyn K. Oxley in Memorial to Former
Reserve Officer Paul Oxley.
Overview
Marilyn Oxley donated to the Lakeville Police Department $25.00 to the Police Reserves. These
funds will be deposited in the Lakeville Police Department Police Department Reserve Budget to
be used for operations or equipment for the Police Reserve Unit. Mr. Paul Oxley passed away on
March 10, 2018. He was a former Police Reserve Officer. The City and the Police Department
are grateful to the Oxley Family for their support and offer condolences to the family.
Primary Issues to Consider
The Police Department appreciates the support of our community and thanks the Oxley Family
for their generous support.

ACCEPTING CASH DONATION TO THE LAKEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUY FUND
WHEREAS, Marilyn K. Oxley donated cash in the amount of $25.00 for use by the Lakeville
Police Department Reserve Officer Unit; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or personal
property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville that the
donation valued at $25.00 in memory of Paul Oxley from Marilyn K. Oxley is hereby accepted;
and the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks the Oxley Family for their generous donation.
ADOPTED by the Lakeville City Council this 16th day of April 2018
