RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM CUSTOMERS OF
LAKEVILLE MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORES
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Motion to approve resolution accepting
donations valued at $25,623.97 on behalf of Lakeville Municipal Liquor customers to be used
towards the construction of the King Park Mini Golf Project.
Overview
The Lakeville Municipal Liquor Stores hosted a King Park Mini Golf Fundraiser the entire
month of July 2018. It was kicked off with a brat fry and mini golf putting competition event
on Sunday, July 7th, followed by a customer round up and donation acceptance the remainder
of the month.
Some grants and donations may require the City to incur additional expenditures in order to
comply with grant agreements and restricted donations; therefore, staff is seeking authority to
amend the budget, as appropriate.
Primary Issues to Consider
Lakeville Liquors hosts up to three donation roundups annually in conjunction with the
Minnesota Municipal Beverage Association, just another avenue in which municipal liquor
operations continue to provide back to the communities they serve.
