HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.m Date: Item No. BEE WELL DEVELOPMENT PRELIMINARY PLAT EXTENSION Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve an extension for the Bee Well Development preliminary plat until February 19, 2019. Overview The City Council approved the Bee Well Development preliminary plat of five single family residential lots on August 15, 2016. The subject property is located at 17075 Judicial Road. The developer is requesting a second extension of the preliminary plat to allow him additional time to market the sale of the property. A first one-year extension was approved by Planning Department staff as authorized by the Subdivision Ordinance. The extension request is for six months ending February 19, 2019. Staff will not recommend approval of a third preliminary plat extension, which will result in the expiration of the preliminary plat. Primary Issue to Consider • What will be the result if the preliminary plat expires? The developer will have to re-apply for a preliminary plat which will require another public hearing by the Planning Commission and consideration by the City Council.
