RESOLUTION NO. 18-94
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO
RE -GUIDE PROPERTY FROM LOW/MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL
TO OFFICE/RESIDENTIAL TRANSITION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on July 19, 2418, the Lakeville Planning Commission met to consider the
application of Winkler Land Co, LLC, for a Comprehensive Plan amendment to re -guide
approximately five (5) acres from Low/Medium Density Residential to Office/Residential
Transition as legally described in Exhibit A. The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing
on the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment preceded by published and mailed notice and
unanimously recommended against approval; and
WHEREAS, the Office/Residential Transition District proposed by the Comprehensive Plan
amendment is consistent with the retail commercial and office land use goals and policies of the
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment has been submitted to adjacent
governmental jurisdictions and the affected school district and no objections have been expressed;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposed Comprehensive Plan
amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville,
Minnesota:
1. The Comprehensive Plan amendment will not have a substantial impact on or
contain a substantial departure from Metropolitan System Plans.
2. The Comprehensive Plan amendment is hereby approved subject to authorization
by the Metropolitan Council.
ADOPTED by the Lakeville City Council this 4111 day of September 2018.

EXHIBIT A
That part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 114, Range
20, Dakota County, Minnesota, which lies southeasterly of the centerline of County State Aid
Highway No.9 (Dodd Boulevard) and lying southerly and southwesterly of the following
described line:
Commencing at the southeast corner of said Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence
on an assumed bearing of North 00 degrees 46 minutes 01 second West, along the east line of
said Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, a distance of 190.03 feet to the point of
beginning of the line to be described; thence North 89 degrees 44 minutes 23 seconds West a
distance of 54.68 feet; thence northwesterly a distance of 132.43 feet along a tangential curve,
concave to the northeasterly, having a central angle of 15 degrees 10 minutes 30 seconds and a
radius of 500.00 feet; thence North 74 degrees 33 minutes 53 seconds West, tangent to last
described curve, a distance of 145.77 feet; thence northwesterly a distance of 197.63 feet along a
tangential curve, concave to the northeast, having a central angle of 32 degrees 21 minutes 09
seconds and a radius of 350.00 feet; thence North 42 degrees 12 minutes 44 seconds West,
tangent to last described curve, a distance of 125.69 feet to said centerline of County State Aid
Highway No.9 (Dodd Boulevard) and said line there terminating.
