RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS TO THE LAKEVILLE PARKS & RECREATION
DEPARTMENT IN THE 3rd QUARTER OF 2018
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve resolution accepting
donations to the Lakeville Parks & Recreation Department in the third quarter of 2018.
Overview
Donations from various sources were received by the Lakeville Parks & Recreation Department.
Please see the supporting information for details. On behalf of our department, we sincerely
thank these individuals and businesses for their generosity.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION
WHEREAS, Rosemount American Legion Post 65, an organization supporting
local causes, donated $500 for purchases towards Lakeville Police Department’s 2018
Santa in Blue Program; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real
or personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing
body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lakeville that the donation of $500 from the Rosemount American Legion Post 65 is
hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks the
Rosemount American Legion Post 65 for its generous donation.
