RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM
LAKEVILLE PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve resolution to accept
Canvas Corners Training Prop and supplies donated from Lakeville Public Safety Foundation
(LPSF) to the Lakeville Fire Department.
Overview
Lakeville Fire applied for a grant through the LPSF to purchase a 6 adjustable and 12
nonadjustable hangers from Canvas Corners and supplies. The training props are for creating
a moving wall system that is portable and can be setup in at a station to be used for search
and rescue training of firefighters. The Canvas Corner Training Props and supplies for a total
donation value of $3,287.40.
Primary Issues to Consider
• Acknowledgement of Donation.
• Chief Meyer will draft a “Thank You” letter following Council’s approval of this
resolution.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM
LAKEVILLE PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, Lakeville Public Safety Foundation has offered to donate Canvas Corners
Training Prop and supplies valued at $3,287.40 to the City of Lakeville Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or
personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville
that the donation of Canvas Corner Training Props and supplies from Lakeville Public Safety
Foundation is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville sincerely thanks Lakeville Public
Safety Foundation.
