HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.m Date: February 4, 2019 Item No. APPROVE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND SET A BID DATE HAMBURG AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve a resolution approving plans and specifications and setting a bid date for Hamburg Avenue Improvements, City Project 19-05. Overview At its November 19, 2018 meeting, the Lakeville City Council ordered the improvements and authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for Hamburg Avenue Improvements, City Project 19-05. Proposed improvements include roadway reconstruction and widening, concrete curb and gutter, trail construction and utility improvements (watermain and storm water management). Project plans and specifications were prepared by Bolton and Menk and are available for review in the Engineering Division. The estimated construction cost is $1,924,404.56. Primary Issues to Consider • The City will publish notice and advertise for bids as required. Bids will be opened on March 8, 2019. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota: That the plans and specifications for City Project 19-05 are hereby approved by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that bids will be advertised as required and opened at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 at City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Avenue, Lakeville, Minnesota.
